1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website can place in your browser to remember information between visits. Websites also commonly use similar browser-storage tools — local storage and session storage — which work in a similar way but aren't technically "cookies". This policy covers both, together with any cookies set by embedded third-party content.
2. Cookies & storage we use
We keep this deliberately simple. trailarental.com uses:
- Strictly necessary — remembers your cookie-consent choice, and (during a booking) a short-lived summary of the trailer and dates you selected so the confirmation page can display it. Always active; the site's booking flow can't work without these.
- Functional — remembers your chosen display language, and loads Google Fonts and Google reCAPTCHA, which are needed for the site to display correctly and to keep the booking form protected from spam. Always active for the same reason.
- Analytics & marketing — not currently used on this website. If that changes in future, the toggle in "Manage Preferences" will control whether these are allowed.
3. Cookie & storage details
| Name | Type | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
trailarent_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie-preference choice so the banner doesn't reappear every visit. | trailarental.com |
trailarent_lang | Local storage | Remembers your chosen site language. | trailarental.com |
trailarent_booking | Session storage | Temporarily holds your booking summary so it can be shown on the confirmation page. Cleared automatically when you close your browser tab. | trailarental.com |
_GRECAPTCHA and related cookies | Cookie | Set by Google reCAPTCHA on the booking page to help distinguish humans from bots. | Google (google.com) |
| Google Fonts requests | Third-party request | Loads the Space Grotesk, Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces used across the site from Google's font servers. | Google (fonts.gstatic.com) |
For details on how Google handles data through reCAPTCHA and Fonts, see Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
4. Manage your preferences
You can change your cookie choice at any time, from any page on this site, using the button below or the "Manage Preferences" link in the cookie banner.
5. Browser-level controls
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly in their settings, and clear local/session storage for a site. Note that blocking functional cookies (such as Google reCAPTCHA) may prevent the booking form from working correctly.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy if the cookies or third-party services used on the site change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
