1. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing trailarental.com, submitting a booking through the site, or hiring, purchasing or ordering a trailer from Trailarent Namibia, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website or our services.

2. Who we are

Trailarent Namibia operates a trailer rental, custom manufacturing and repair workshop at ERF 3, Voigts Street, Southern Industrial, Windhoek, Namibia.

3. Our services

We offer three core services: (i) daily trailer rentals across ten trailer classes; (ii) custom trailer design and manufacturing, built to a customer's specification; and (iii) trailer repairs and spare parts, including axles, winches, lights and mesh panels. Availability, specifications and pricing shown on the website and fleet listings are indicative and are confirmed at the time of booking.

4. Booking & the booking form

Trailer rentals are requested via the booking form on booking.html. Submitting the form is a request to hire a trailer, not a confirmed reservation — we confirm actual availability, the final rate and next steps (including payment) directly with you by phone or email after you submit the form.

The booking form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and automated submissions; see our Privacy Notice and Cookies Policy for details on how that works.

5. Renter eligibility & documents

To collect a trailer you must be able to provide:

• A valid driver's licence and proof of citizenship or residency status.
• Proof of residence not older than three months.
• Payment by card in your own name — we do not accept cash payments.

Supporting documents can be uploaded when booking (PDF, PNG, JPEG, JPG, TIFF or BMP, up to 25MB each) or brought with you when you sign off and collect the trailer.

6. Damage waiver & vehicle requirements

Every rental includes an 85% damage waiver as standard: you are liable for the first N$2,000 of possible damage to the trailer, and thereafter for 15% of any damage above N$2,000. This waiver excludes theft — we do not offer third-party or comprehensive insurance on rented trailers, and you are responsible for the trailer's security while it is in your care.

The towing vehicle you use must be fitted with a towbar rated for the towing capacity of the trailer you hire. It is your responsibility to confirm this before collection.

7. Payment & cancellations

Once a booking is confirmed, payment instructions (including our banking details) are provided by email and on the confirmation page. Card payments must be made in the renter's own name; we do not accept cash. Please use your ID number as the payment reference.

Cancellation terms, rescheduling and any applicable administrative fees are confirmed with you individually at the time of booking, since they can depend on the trailer class, dates and how far in advance you cancel. If you need to cancel or change a booking, contact us as early as possible at booking@trailarental.com or by phone.

8. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to misuse the website — including attempting to bypass security measures such as reCAPTCHA, submitting false information through the booking form, scraping or copying site content for commercial reuse, or interfering with the site's normal operation.

9. Intellectual property

The trailarental.com website, including its design, logo, trailer photography, written content and code, is owned by or licensed to Trailarent Namibia and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce, redistribute or reuse content from this site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

10. Liability

While we take reasonable care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, we make no warranty that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted, and prices, specifications and availability are subject to change. To the extent permitted by Namibian law, Trailarent Namibia is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Separately, rental-specific liability (damage waiver, excess amounts and exclusions) is governed by section 6 above and by the rental agreement you sign when collecting a trailer.

11. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Namibian courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
